Marielena Maldonado

Child Development Specialist

Marielena Maldonado, a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Northridge, is a compassionate professional with a certification as a Lactation Educator from the same institution. With over 6 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and delays, Marielena has demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting and empowering those in need. 

In her previous role as a Job Placement Coordinator for individuals with disabilities, Marielena has helped create opportunities for meaningful employment and has been instrumental in fostering inclusivity and accessibility in the workplace. As a former Parent Educator for adults with developmental disabilities, her expertise in parent education has equipped her with the knowledge and skills to empower parents and caregivers in supporting the growth and development of their children. Marielena’s passion for working with infants, toddlers, and their families shines through her work in early intervention, where she brings a nurturing and supportive approach to empower and uplift those she serves.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Marielena finds solace and inspiration in her creative pursuits, including writing poetry, painting and exploring new destinations through travel. She values quality time spent with her husband and two dogs, cherishing the moments that bring joy to her life.
